I took the "Joe Touring" Javelin out to the local PCA autocross today at PIR.
Even with the largest front factory swaybar, she leans like a steam tramp.
Rear grip was an issue all day. It'll haze the tires with the slightest throttle input.
18th of 31 in class, too!

Just wait until you see the videos from the GoPro...

THIS! I started a Classic Street Car class for our club, in the hopes of encouraging more people that these cars need to be driven more and parked less.
My Camaro handles like your car, so you're not alone.

Yeah, you were obviously in dire need of a limited slip. Keep at it, with some effort your muscle car might be able to beat an electric car!

Why do you think I haven't been back with my Porsche 944 Turbo? . Seriously though, good job to both of you for prepping and wheeling those cars, neither of them "should" be good around the cones, but you said the hell with that and decided to have some damned fun and managed to do pretty well in the process!
what kind of wheels are those? they look awesome.
Also I would love to autocross a javelin or a amx. That would be fun. Can't wait to see some videos of you doing it after lsd+suspension.
edit: just read your readers rides for this and wow you got this for cheap.

wow there are a lot of awesome cars at that one.
When was this? 1985?

That looks like a really unsafe, and by unsafe I mean fun, course! Damn, I wish we had autocrosses like that in any place I've ever lived.
Also, that 944 driver at 5:50 is either a savant or incredibly lucky to get away with his aggression. Possibly both.
Yeah--that is mid-late 80's. The AMX is (2003, 2007 CP National Champion) Darrel Padberg and the Gremlin is Jay Streeter.

Knock-offs of Ford Racing FR500's. 17x9 front, 17x10.5 rear.
Nobody likes the new photos? I thought the tire deflection in the last one was particularly cool.

Can't see the pics at work.
The second pic looks like you were almost two wheeling it. Not quite but very close.

Trying to figure out your camber curve on extension? Looks like it gets massively negative on extension (first and second pic), but zero to positive on compression?
Regardless, looks like a ball! Where's the go pro video? :)
