I think I've got the photo thing sorted out but I'm too tired to write up the details tonight. Hopefully I'll get a chance to resubmit the car tomorrow.

LOL. My friend just submitted his W211 Mercedes E63 AMG wagon (of which they imported roughly 200, ever) and got denied for mileage and lack of cats. But they'll approve a pristine... Dodge Aries.
Off to C&B.

I wouldn't buy a car without cats. Given that they don't rob any power at all, there's no reason to remove them. It's federally illegal to sell a car without them, so I can see why BaT would refuse to list a car without them.
In reply to docwyte :
Quite a few cars go through there without cats. The allroad I put together, the owner didn't want cats and it sold on BAT for 24k.

How long ago was that?
Geez, I should've kept my allroad, which was stage 3, 6 MT, dark blue, sold it for half what yours brought. Although it was a maintenance nightmare...
I think I'm mostly amused at the lack of consistency for what's accepted. My friend bought the E63 as it is and lives in a non-emissions part of the state, so he didn't bother doing anything about it for the ~4k miles a year he drives it. I'd totally understand having some guidelines around "these miles or less, factory emissions, etc" but it's just such a toss-up.

You're dealing with humans, not a computerized system, and with that comes all the usual failings. I'd just try again and if it fails again, go with the other site(s).
In reply to Loweguy5 :
I bet it's much easier to find V70 wagons vs a Caprice wagon with low miles at this point.
UPDATE:
After several weeks of distraction due to work and family, I've resubmitted the car to BAT, this time with functional JPEG photos, and No Reserve.
Let's see what happens...
One more data point, good friend submitted a low mileage, rare optioned BMW 328i. Car had some minor body damage to rear door, otherwise, perfect. BAT denied his submission.
He ended up selling private party. New owner fixed body damage and detailed it, was on BAT within a month of buddy's initial submission/rejection. So it was either the body issue or it was who you knew at BAT or the cars already in the pipeline.
Good luck with 2nd submission!

Thanks, Mike.
Also... Violet and I saw that beautiful CRX rolling through town on our way back from the walk on Sunday!
Wanna trade?
In reply to Woody (Forum Supportum) :
That would be me, sporting clays in the morning. Monroe to Bantam Sunday... GPS wanted me to take rt6 but always take the back ways if I can.
Trade a P car for the crx... Let's talk. Lol
It took many weeks to get my car relisted. BAT already had my listing and photos that they'd approved, and it still took seven weeks.
In reply to car39 :
I spent a lot of time converting all of my photos to a usable format, rewrote my description and resubmitted everything after checking the "No Reserve" box.
This time, the rejection came much more quickly. Same content to their email. I guess they simply don't want this car.
So after some investigation, I submitted the car to Cars and Bids. They accepted it almost immediately, but they requested a cold start video and walk around.
Making the video was no big deal, but since I'm tech-challenged and have never posted videos anywhere online before, there was going to be a learning curve, so I kept putting it off until "tomorrow"...
I got distracted with work and family stuff, and then somewhere down the line, Violet and I came to the conclusion that we really like the Volvo a lot more than the Jeep.
So in the end, this was all for naught. The Volvo stays, and, if Honda dealers ever get any new Civic Si's to sell, the Jeep will probably get traded in.

That's what I did for my BaT S2k auction. Easiest way to host videos as long as you have a Google account.
You'll need to log in to post.
