Specifically looking for ae92 (1989-1992 I think) information.
thanks.
club4age.com is mostly for AE86 but would likely have some useful info if you get a GT-S.
When I had my ae92 I didn't really find any model specific forums but that was years ago. I mostly looked around toyotanation.com.
I think I was a memeber of club4age back when I still had my MR2, and it was pretty good. I'm on toyotanation too (mainly for the P/U), but I might be out of luck with the ae92 finding anything that specific. Thought I should check here for some wonder-site unknown to me.
thanks Evan.
What kind of AE92 are you talking about gts coupe or sedan? ae92gts.com has some useful info as do the places mentioned above. I used to have one. Anything specific you need to know?

I don't have any particular questions for my "new" 90 sedan, but I like having an informative site if/when I have questions. I know I can always come here, but if there was somewhere to go and look at a bunch of FAQs it would save a lot of time (and questions here).
How does this fit in with the dorikaze site?
(thanks)
I dunno about the dorikaze site. I do know a bit about the nine-two. I've put about 65K on a Megasquirted 20 valve 1988 AE92 GT-S. It's my DD. A set of Koni's and some GC coilovers goes a long way.
The sedan is a totally different car. Of course, a 20 valve will help a lot.
If you find something for the sedan... post it. I've got myself an AE95(All-Trac) sedan. Primarily I'm using http://www.alltracwagon.net/forum/ currently, but as you can guess... there isn't a lot of sedan content.
The only mods to mine so far are Bilsteins all the way around, and I'm running MR2 14" wheels shod with Bridestone RE960A/S, instead of the 13"
Well, the sedan should have the 4-afe in it unless it a prism gsi. 4age should drop right in.
Hess, silvertop or blacktop? Always wanted a 20v swapped ae92 gts.
Not to threadjack, but what's the deal with Corolla hubcaps? Even fairly new, clean, and otherwise well maintained examples seem to be missing a hubcap or two.

Depending on the year, it's going to either be a 4A-F or 4A-FE. My '89 wagon had a 4A-F in it. My friends '92 sedan had a 4A-FE. They geared the 5-speed well with the 4A-FE, those had some get up and go.
I was planning on dropping a 4A-GE 16v in my wagon with the 5-speed (I had the 3-speed autotragic), but my wagon was rotting faster than I could repair it.
I would like to find a clean AE92 wagon again and build it the way I wanted to back when I had mine.
My AE92 GT-S has a silvertop. I'm using Megasquirt to control it. Having done it both ways with a silvertop, Megasquirt and OEM ECU, it's really about as much work each way. The silvertop I had in the MR2 with OEM ECU is now in the Locost.
My friend had a 4AF and 5 speed in a AE92 coupe. He would get 40 MPG on the highway. I was hoping for that with mine, but best I can do is about 30, and about 28 these days with the tune I have running Alpha-N.
