I like Hi-Tech HT-470 for black, which is what i'm looking for right now.
Nobody seems to have it in stock, and prefers to just let my orders sit out there without sending any correspondence whatsoever, ultimately resulting in me having to fly off the handle to get them to reply to anything, and then cancel my order.
I need something that will hold up on interior plastics. And it needs to be black.
Suggestions?

Wish I had an answer, as the products you can buy over the counter are junk. I need to match the GM dark charcoal grey color, all I can find is a light grey they call Charcoal and Black that's closer than the grey, but not close enough to blend in. Oh, and it's already fading off the console lid I painted about a year ago. I'll be watching this thread with interest.
I'm not concerned with matching, i'm changing color, not repairing.
The Hi-Tech stuff holds up really well, which is why i'm pretty E36 M3ty nobody seems to be able to sell it to me. I have about a half can left. It's not going to be enough to do what i need i don't think. And i really don't want to get halfway through and then have to change product, and THEN have a matching issue on my hands.

Have you tried these folks? ToolTech They say they have it in stock.
I have excellent results with colorbond. Lots of colors available including many factory match colors.

Thanks, will look into that!
Of course, the best results (on a professional level) come from the specific vinyl paint mixed by a local jobber, it really IS great and can be mixed in all of the factory colors, metallics and solids.
Other than those, nothing really lasts more than a year without touching up. The cleaner the surface the better the results, the high wear areas will . . . wear; and need constant re-application.
Luck
A lot of car restoration folks seem to like SEM products. It seems to hold up pretty well. If you are doing plastic trim bits, they also sell and recommend an adhesion promoter that helps the paint bond better. I will be having a field day when it comes time to re-do my Trans Am's interior. All the replacement bits I have are different colors, and they need to be Dark Carmine Red.
