The games have begun!

No, Gramps decided to keep it for a couple more years. I've been AMC less since 2016.
$28,000 sold with reserve never met, so the reserve was probably 28.5-30 and BaT made up the difference.

From what I've seen they don't announce reserve met but the seller sometimes says it in the comments. I think if BAT pitches in, they announce that though.

Nothing can deter buyers in this market! Nothing!

So...then BAT owns the car and then relists it with themselves as the seller?
In reply to Woody (Forum Supportum) :
No they make up a small gap but their fees on the sale means they still profit.

I'm never losing this:
Sorry, YUCK. Not cause Javelin since I am pretty agnostic when it comes to classics, but every single buying alarm that I have is going off with this car.
That car is a turd that was polished to the best of someone's abilities. Someone with zero abilities I assume. It is a perfect example of what you SHOULD run away from when shopping for a classic.
Other than that, it is awesome.

Most auction services will consult with the seller. If reserve is $100, and it gets bid to $95, the owner has the right to accept or reject. It probably costs money to relist, so if it's close, particularly with a well known service like BAT, it's probably enough to convince the seller he was optimistic with the reserve, and accept the offer.
I presume there was a bunch of discussion there about panel gaps, so maybe he read it and realized it was time to cut bait.
In reply to Javelin :
Just be patient for when gramps is ready to let go of his. You know that car unlike the stranger danger of a BaT car.
