Quick question, how high is the m10 revving to on the efi/carb versions?
The valve train is the limiting factor. With the factory valve springs you're good to maybe 6500 (a little more if they're new). With dual springs and polished rockers (to get rid of the stress riser casting marks) over 7000 is doable. If the necessary fuel and air can be supplied, they love to rev.
Probably the perfect project car.

I've had three - horrible little cars - what's that guy's number...
Great looks, feels light on its feet - one of the first sports sedan/coupes. Look for rust where the rear subframe mounts are, front corners of the floors/inner fenders, then the typical rockers, wheel arches, rear shock towers, spare well and around the trim. As for the m20 - a heavier engine in an already nose heavy car. M42 is a spiritual successor and can take the boosts.
I love this clip - 2002 with m12
Can't see how this could go wrong?

Here's my budget build up of mine from a few years ago. They are fantastic cars.
