Uhhh that's the second amc body mounted on a z3 chassis I've seen. Weird.
Unless the lemons team that built the first one ripped the cage out in the last few weeks, but I seriously doubt it. Plus that was an amx.
I really really like the look of those Hornets. This takes things to a higher level. Kind of hard to call out the price, really, if things were done well.

I bet one of those Z3/Miata kits would fit...ish.
That thing is awesome. I would love to see some detail shots. If it is well done, that price is fair.
If it's been well done that's not a bad price. Would love to see more pics. But if you're going to all that effort, why choose a car from a manufacturer known for never having made a good looking vehicle? Seriously, was there ever a non ugly AMC?

Can't see all that ugly from behind the wheel. A ///M X

The CL car is located in Birmingham, AL. The stock car is Bobby Allison's...from suburban Birmingham, AL. Coincidence?
In reply to Adrian_Thompson:
Adrian, you are just plain wrong. There were plenty of good looking AMC cars, including this one.
In reply to Adrian_Thompson:
Yeah, there were a few good looking AMCen. For instance, the mid-70's AMC Hornet, which you may have seen recently in a Craigslist advert. Here's some others off the top of my head;
1st gen Javelin
1st gen AMX
80ish Sprint GT / AMX
69ish Rambler
There are some hotter cars from AMC but I don't think they're pretty, per se, like the 71 Javelin or the Rebel Machine.
Hornet's probably my favorite malaise-era vehicle. It's a decent price for what looks like a good job, just not particularly GRM friendly.
In reply to HappyAndy:
AMC always seemed like the shoes you get from Payless or a precursor to Chinese knockoffs (Happy'O Breakfast! It's artificary dericious!"). They had a car that looked like a Nova, a Charger, a Mustang... but not as good looking. Nothing really standout of their own except for being weird like the Pacer or Gremlin. Even the AMX and Javelin... like the Cubs, they are really losers who won once. For their fans - they will always have that one moment to cherish or immortalize in a "Calvin pees on something" static cling label but otherwise it was just a weak brand that went out of business because of ugly.
That said, I'd love to take a Gremlin and do this type of thing to it. I have always wanted to pro-street one. Because there is something deeply wrong with me. It's even shaped a little like a retarded M Coupe.
In reply to Huckleberry:
AMC gave you a head start on that pro-street project with the gremlin-X, available with V8 power.
