I am on the tail end of finishing a 68 Corvair with a LT1 and a Boxster 6spd.  Like most builds this has left me with a slew of leftover parts.  I have a boxster 5 speed, shift assembly, brand new spec clutch, suspension parts, brake kit, radiators, wilwood pedals the list is a mile long. Now I have been given the rust free shell of another Corvair.

I have seen LS's mated to Boxster 5 speeds / Audi 01E Getrags but for the life of me can't find who makes the adapter.  Yes a 6 speed is stronger, I could do an audi 1.8T or an Audi 4.2 etc.. but I have a nice Lq4 with a  cam and heads that keeps taunting me and with a new 2400 sq ft. shop I may as well continue the reckless use of my children's inheritance.

The stance on that thing is plain nasty!

Any reason why the adapter that works for the 6-speed to LS won't work on the 5-speed? In Bosters the 2.5L engines can directly mount a 6-speed and the 3.2L engines take a 5-speed.  Shift cables, axles, and mounts are different, but that's not your issue right?

In reply to AAZCD-Jon (Forum Supporter) :

Kennedy engineering said they don't have an adapter for the 5spd, but I see your point.

I can't help directly since i didn't use a Boxster trans, but Kennedy has LS to Audi 01X

I thought Renegade Hybrids might be the answer, but they only mention the 6spd too.
