Check out the Infospace acquisition of Saraide in 1999. I was one of the four people INSP really wanted. So yeah, I'm aware. But I've also seen what having a big corporatation's might behind you can do. It's not always bad, and there's a point in growth you simply can't get past without changes.
I do agree that it's impossible to keep up with BAT these days.

I haven't seen any Roadkill at all since it went off YouTube, but I was kinda bored with their fantastically poor mechanical skills anyway.
I gave up on BAT when it went pure auction. Not really sure why. Maybe it just got too big and professional. Dunno.

Very true. I'm just nervous of the unchecked future of acquisitioning rivals and breaking into markets only to disrupt smaller rivals as a few select companies grow disproportionately large. The 4th Industrial Revolution is already breaking the economy as we know it, interesting times for sure.

The acquisition market IS a terrifying thing for medium to small businesses and for market diversity. I've worked in it my entire career, tech is known for it. And while it doesn't necessarily spell death for the acquired, it nearly always does for their internal company culture and image - which in turn usually expels the employees (in my experience purposefully) that came with the acquisition.
As long as it doesn’t go to a Private Equity firm who is really just a vulture, I’m cool with it.
