Build a streamliner out of one of these.

I realize you probably meant that as a joke, but drag wise it probably has less drag going backwards than forwards.
Look at the Porsche long tail for an example.

I happened to be speaking to Doug last night and he told me he rolled the car at Mosport last year, so if anyone has a 120 gallon F-86 drop tank just laying around taking up space, he's looking for one to rebuild.

We should be filling the Challenge and UTCC fields with stuff like that built by The Hive...

Don't go giving away my idea...

Yikes! I was there that weekend, and saw it come in on the flatbed, from C9 and wondered what happened. I was hoping he didn't tangle with one of the bigger cars in the run group, I don't know if rolling it is any better though.

Funny you should post this. I have known Doug and his car for more years than I care to admit. 10? years ago he hauled it to Europe to attend the Goodwood Revival and also ran a few tracks on the continent.

Wouldn't the idea be to encourage awareness of such genius...?

He rolled it in turn 2, coincidently the same corner where he got T-boned in it years ago. He had to rebuild it from a new tank that time, too.
Would love to build one of these, but "IF" I ever did, I would push the easy button and buy one of these. Fiberglass with a flange would cut months off my build time.

I'd build one of those for the street and power it with some sort of small Diesel to see how fuel efficient it could be.
