Also, because I had to look, no mention of Cimarron anywhere on the Cadillac media site.

I also googled it. Being a GM employee, I'm sure that was a flagged search on my work computer. I'll be getting dragged into an office and asked why the hell I was searching Cadillac Cimarrons.
Nice knowing you.
It was worth it. Side note: Someone needs to put a 3800S/C in a Cimarron and build a Cimarron-V

While I don't like the 2.7T in the CT4... I certainly wouldn't be mad at someone slapping a truck motor 2.7T in a Cimarron and cranking up the boost! Cimarron-V baby!
But the CT-FIIIIIVE-V makes 355HP...which is 20 more than the base model...and is every bit as fugly.

Ah, the Caddy that zigs.
Heck with the Cimmaron, when was the last time you saw an Oldsmobile Firenza? When was the last time you thought about one?

I spent more time than I care to admit trying to find this commercial..
Spotted at an Import Alliance, many moons ago. It was a fender flared Cadillac Catera drift car on rad Pontiac(?) wheels with a Toyota 1JZ-GTE swap and a hydro e-brake. I bet this Caddy did zig.

Wow. Cool. Thanks for sharing.

I'll bet those are first gen Viper wheels.
I still have scars from the Caddy that zigs. I had to do an ignition tuneup once. Remove wiper assembly, remove and replace coil pack, wires and spark plugs. That will be $1200cdn, please... for parts. Labour is extra.
Unrelated to the topic, but still a sore point with me. Sorry.

Just now
I have a co-worker named Cimmaron. He had no idea that he was named after an early 80s Cadillac either and his mind was blown when I told him that there was a car that existed with his name. He now owns 2.
As far as Cadillac in general.....they lost their way and priced everything out of reach for a domestic brand.
I just read an article that ecplained that V doesn't mean what V used to and there will be something new above V that is like the old V. Maybe. Doesn't make me feel all warm and Fuzzy about the whole thing.

They should make these the V-Sport and then make the hairy ones the V. Ya know, like they did with the last-gen CTS. I swear, if GM didn't make illogical decisions, they wouldn't make any decisions at all

Sometimes I think GM is the real world Dilbert cartoon.
"We will water down the brand that we've spent a decade and a half building, thereby destroying that brand. And then we'll spend a fortune to create a new brand that does the same thing as the old brand."
I wonder of they'll put that new Blackhawk hot-vee twin-turbo V8 in the CT5 Super-V. If they don't, it seems kind of ridiculous that they developed an all-new engine just to put in a car that they are killing in half a year (the CT6-V)
