This car has been haunting my sleep http://wilsonmotorco.com/inventory/?&VID=61808246 Before I fly myself out there to check it out, anyone local who could put eyeballs on it and take it for a spin? Beer and gas money happily supplied. Familiarity with these types of things a plus, but not a necessity.
Wait, er, did you just offer to >pay< pizza and gas money for someone to test drive a car with a power-to-weight ratio better than 6:1? I'll do it. How much gas to drive to St. Louis from Ohio?
Fatal
I would not waste money on 'test driver'.
The car looks like as represented to me.
You should look it over your self carefully to see if was crashed and put back together.
That is highly unlikely though.
You should play hardball and offer them 15 cash.
You might want to question 'built in 2003' and 'registered as a '67'.
Would not be fun to wave good bye to your money.
Good luck.
Those headers are wicked awesome

How could so much detail be put into a car and then use shifter like that? But I have 15k burning a hole in my pocket just no time to get to st L. Plus not a big of the paint. All fixable with an entire winter of time to fix.
235hp !! I was not prepared for that. Nice.
The paint job is tickling some part of my brain - what is it reminiscent of? I know I've seen something painted like that. Hot wheels? Rc cars? Model cars? It's a style that I know I've seen and it's driving me crazy.

I think it's reminding you of an athletic shoe.

Those headers look cool, probably help it hit that high hp number, but likely really hurt mid range power. Overall it seems like a nice car for the money. I would definitely change that shifter too.
The roll bar(s) look to be really poorly designed. Lots of curves, which are weak and not enough triangles.

There used to be an outfit near me called Birkinsport who fielded a couple of cars that ran in NASA's super unlimited endurance class on the West coast. They actually won a couple of championships, much to the chagrin of cars like the turbocharged Viper and a retired NASCAR or two. They were running similarly set-up Zetecs, and while they didn't have the top speed of those other cars (Lotus 7 aerodynamic penalty), they ruled tracks like Laguna Seca and Sears Point. They did OK on the speed tracks as well, partially because they used so much less consumables and didn't have to change tires or gas up as often.
Birkins are South African clones of the Series 3 Lotus 7. Like Caterhams, and unlike Westfield they survived a lawsuit IIRC. It's a pretty good base, and if the car is anywhere near as good as it looks in pictures, it's a good deal.
I have one, I would if I were closer, but a bit of a drive.
