Ok, if everything goes well, I'm selling my business at the end of the year.  I've been moonlighting with WRL working in the tower last year and this year, and I'm looking at driving to the races as my time opens up.  I've bought a BMW Z4 to use,  something fun and comfortable, drive one route going to the track, another coming home, do some sightseeing.  But looking at how many people want cars from one part of the country to the other, would there be any interest in me helping transport cars by driving them to or from a location near where I'm going?  I'm flying up to Danville, VA next month, driving back with a buddy, but had the thought that as I go to Road America, High Plains, Daytona, COTA, etc. next year, see if the GRM world wants someone to drive a car out for them.  I'm 75 miles north of Atlanta, so if I could get a car with minimal time expenditure, drive it to one of these race tracks I'm going to, and have someone meet me there to pick it up, or vice versa, have someone meet me at a track with a car, and I'll drive it back to my neck of the woods.  Not looking for money, just the experience of other cars and meeting other car junkies.  Wouldn't mind some delicious local food or culinary delight, but primarily do it as a favor to people.  Only requirement would be no E36 M3 boxes, don't want to waste time I don't have to spare breaking down somewhere lol.  Locally, I'll drive pretty much anything, just don't want to do that with a time frame.

Ok, maybe I should have said no project cars laugh Considering I'm racing an '87 300ZX, and one of the cars I most regret selling was an Alfa GTV-6, I'm probably a fan of E36 M3 boxes.  Years ago on the Mirafiori forum, we were listing cars we had owned, and I was able to hit every letter of the alphabet with something I had owned.  Automotive ADD and a not too large wallet meant I went through a bunch of oddball and cheap stuff!  As long as it's a reliable E36 M3 box, I'm game.  I just wouldn't want to be breaking down away from home with no tools with me.  Heck, I'm seeing the MR2 in the side column as I type this thinking, that would be a cool road trip car!
