Hopefully he and PLN are reunited and swapping stories. Rest in peace.
Never met the man but did have some contact with a good friend of his who worked for Amoco Oil when Amoco sponsored the team. He told me that his nick name for him was "Grumpy" but said in a good way, just not to his face! LOL!
He did look a bit like Grumpy...
He had a lot of success over the years.
As a side question, is he related to Gene Haas? If not there's a lot of coincidences there...
