Hi all, first time poster long time reader.
I'm hoping the collective hive here might be able to learn me on the difference between the Centric Plain rotors and the Centric High carbon rotors (Aside from the wallet weight savings associated with the high carbon rotors)
The application is a 2002 Z06 which currently has some cracked OEM rotors, the car will be seeing 2-3k street miles, a dozen or so auto-x events per year (some of them with 2 drivers) and 2-3 HPDE's.
are the high carbons worth the premium? will they be less likely to crack under abuse? for pads I intend to use the OEM Z06 compound for street/auto-x (very similar to Hawk HPS) and a set of Carbotech XP8 pads for HPDE abuse.
Thanks! Brad
