So I've been including EVERYTHING I do to the car as budget worthy.

From window motors etc.  Which seems a bit excessive and makes me stop and think about it more.  Last I heard, if you got a deal on the car b/c you knew X was broken then you cannot say you replaced the stock part.

like I knew that two wheels were bent beyond salvage, went whole hog into a hub swap to get mustang parts on the car.

I totally understand including that in the budget.  I also upgraded brakes because the car was undrivable as it was and it was the same price ~10 bucks to switch to mustang calipers.

but while under the car I noticed that the bushings are bad and that the clunk in the rear was that the rear shocks were gone.  Do I include replacement struts in the rear?  I'm worried that I have to blow 1/4 of the budget on rear bushings for the IRS.

Yes, you would include all of that in your budget.

Well that's pretty final then. I  appreciate the quick response.

I guess she'll keep riding on shoddy bushings until after the challenge.

Sometimes it sucks when Tom gives his answer. I suggest whiskey to make you feel better.
