figures the moment after I post my wife calls and tells me she broke her foot, she's in a cast and can't work for 4-6 weeks. Her income is our fun money and now it just stopped coming in...

As for the car... well, it runs, but I don't know yet if it will actually drive. Should find out this weekend, though. :D I'll be there, even if I have to fly to Georgia two weeks early, fix SVreX's GTX and drive it...

I sent mine in on the first. Have to use last years car. Still not done with the 07 challenge car yet. Got the engine and the trans in but still have to wire it in. will bring pics when I arrive.

i'm almost certainly not going to be at the challenge this year. we're closing on a foreclosed house the week before, and i'll be up to my eyeballs in trying to get it ready for move-in.

i've been to eight challenges in a row, but it's not looking good for number nine.

I feel for you. I had seven in a row under my belt, but last year was impossible. I will not miss this year, even if it's just to hang out.

Drove the $2010 GTX home from Oakland to San Jose last night. There are definitely issues to sort out, but it is officially on the road! So far, nothing has leaked or exploded, but my alternator is crazy noisy. >< Fortunately, the one from the engine that caught on fire tested "okay" at Kragen, so I'll keep it in the car on the theory that if I have it with me at all times, the current alternator will not fail but the minute I take it out of the car, it will. :D

Just put the head on our craigslist-sourced bottom end last night, should be dropping it in this week. Collecting money from our team today and tomorrow, should be sending the check and reserving rooms by Wednesday. Got an alum donating a trailer for the weekend, and we're using the school's truck to get there.

Hellz yeah. This is gonna be fun.

After the obligatory 2.5 months of "I dont even want to look at that thing right now" MTR got back in the shop to try and get the Wartburg ready for GRM.

We'll be there, the 'burg will be there, didn't do all the things I'd have liked to between Lemons and GRM but we'll be there and that's what matters I guess.

Um well we did a couple things...makes my prediction seem like a failure.

We still need parts! Anyone have a race seat they want to sell me? 15"x10" wheels?

Drove mine for the first time on the weekend... very happy with how it's turned out.
