Complete with ugly Saab wheels. That car rules.

No, but I saw this tasty little tidbit on Speedhunters:
Speedhunters.com said: P.S. You can catch the Pike's Peak action unfold by tuning into the live stream on Sunday starting at 9am MST on PPHIC.com!

Badass, to the max .
Unfortunately they've managed to turn that awesome video into a E36 M3ty techno song .
Watching that video, you can see how softly the Hyundai is sprung. It makes sense for the venue, but it's still weird to me since they look so much like a Daytona Prototype.
Tomorrow is the big day!
I just got in trouble for not telling my wife that it was Pikes Peak weekend. She wants to go. Whoops.
Should we jump in the car RIGHT NOW? It's about 5 hours from here...

Could very well be. They look so damned similar to the Saab 'Sunburst' wheels from that angle that I can't tell the difference. Either way, it rocks.
the xl7 that Monster drove, didn't it have the same basic v6 available in the xl7?
Its not like the Escudo he took up with 2 4cyl engines...
Here are some cool videos from Pikes Peak. If you are car commercial film director you know how to set up your in car camera. Jeff Zwart breaks Rhys Millens qualifying record . Check out how busy his hands get as soon as he hits the dirt:

I LOVE Pikes Peak, such a cool race.
Although I'm also sad to see the conversion to so much asphalt. I always thought that was part of the challenge, to make the best compromise between the dirt/paved sections.
Either way it's still awesome.

Considering you already have a rally car, you really ought to be on grid by now...
The record DIDN'T get broken. I'm guessing there's such a split between whether to go with asphalt tires and give up time on the dirt, or go with dirt tires and give up time on the asphalt, that until there's more asphalt, it's gonna stay safe for a little while longer.
