For the ARCA race, as long as you stay out of trouble, you should manage a top 10. We'll see if Cleetus does it. It would be nice to see a breath of fresh air hit the stock car ranks - and Cleetus could bring that.

For anyone that watched the Cleetus video in this article this Talladega Nights meme nails it.

Paul Newman.  Frankie Muniz.  Both actors who became respectable race car drivers. So it's been done before. 

Rowan Atkinson deserves mention. Podium finishes at the Rolex and Sebring. 

 

I hope Garret does well. 

Patrick Dempsey also did well with racing with a Le Mans podium.

Michael Fassbender has podiums in the European LeMans series.

James Dean, Jason Priestly, and lets not forget James Garner.  He was so good in Grand Prix filming that several real race drivers said he could easily have been a pro, but I don't think he did any 'real' racing other than Baja.

I'll have to go and check out some of Cleetus recent stuff.  I've previously been in the 'hate' camp based on some of the early vids of his I tried, and the terrible lack of safety in the crown vic circle racing thing he did a few years ago.  I also hated the whole Cleetus persona.  If he's matured, and taking things seriously, then I owe him a revisit.
