Sorry our hero / Ace driver traded paint with you guys in one of the corners. He radioed in that it was close but didn't think there was contact.
However, it was fun running a few laps with you guys in the rain at the end of the day on Sunday. That trip through the mud through the high speed chicane looked kinda fun! I almost followed you right off!

Ah, the RX-7! Yeah, we got flagged in for that one. Sunday morning, right? "That team has run tons of races and never had an incident. You're saying this is their fault?" The judges gave that driver a hard time for it, but we were accustomed to the penalty box by then. Good racing with ya!
Just to clarify, we got flagged too. We served the penalty right away.

Indeed it was a very cool time. You guys are great sports and while I am sorry the paint got traded, your approach to the whole incident was almost worth it (for us anyway).
For me, the whole weekend was like a bear hug from a close friend you haven’t seen in a long time. Great folks, great track, great event and a great time.
Heck yeah, it was great meeting you too. What a blast and what an incredible facility!! I am wiped out - that was a lonnnnng drive from home - but hope we can go back next year. I'll keep practicing and hope to be able to get those lap times down...
Monday we went to the museum and got to watch a new ZL1 doing hot laps. It was just a tiny bit faster than the RX-7, sorry Rob. ;-)
p.s. sunny and 60 degrees in Alabama on Saturday, then this morning we in Ohio have 6-8" of snow with an ice crust on top. Back to work grunts!
