Know what the problem is here? The typical narrowminded insulting behavior I hate so much is out in full force.
That 6er in a previous post isn't "ruined" by having Alpina wheels on it and it certainly isn't stanced (lowered with stretched tires and tons of camber) so complaing about "stancetards" shows you to be a moron. Sorry. And calling people wth coupes to be "desparate" is much the same. Just a moronic stamtent that show you to be at least partially brain dead.
Since you guys want to be insulting, there's it right back at you.
There's no "desigh flaw" about having a back seat in a Mustang like mine:
And there's nothing poorly styled about my 4 door E38 (pictured on the previous page)
We're supposedly car guys. We should stop being so insulting about cars just because one or two aren't our favorites. I'm beginning to hate the newly typical closed minded "car guy." And this board is starting to get full of them.

I'm sorry you feel that way. I hope everyone knows my response to this thread and many like them are by and large just good natured ribbing. No personal attacks are meant by anything said. Some people take it very personally when someone disagrees with them, especially when it comes to car brands. I give a hard time to Ford guys mainly just to ruffle some feathers, a four or five page with people all nut swinging on something is boring to me. It's all meant in jest, some people either don't detect that or take things on the Internet way too seriously.

I've always figured wagons are 4 doors... If the extra "door" isn't for people, it's no more a door than a trunk lid is. Besides, someone already posted a Panamera, that counts, right?
Of course, that means wagons with extra cool rear facing seats are right out, but that's the trouble with these rigid definitions. I, for one, welcome our cool 4-door car pictures
I don't see alot of typical or narrowminded behavior on this forum.
I thought it in jest and was laughing at some of the responses....
I still stand by the Aston Martin Rapide as being the coolest and prettiest 4 door.
How would this qualify? Hatchback with rear facing seats in the back?
I think this could also have a legitimate chance at Coolest 4 door.

All this.

Hell, I see 4 doors. Maybe I should amend the title to 4+ doors
It can't be denied, Teslas are pretty cool. Hellcats and Teslas duking it out for coolest 4 door off a dealer lot, truly a great time for cars

I said desperate.
It is a bit of ribbing in good fun to me. I had very young parents, and my argument in this thread about coupes is based directly on my young life experiences in the 70s. It was seriously UNCOOL to have a sedan, then. Hell, my first few cars were coupes, simply because they were "cooler" than sedans. Then I grew up and embraced the practicality of wagons (I'll argue my Forester is a wagon all day long) and sedans.

Wait a minute, that thing only has three doors! Does it even belong in this thread? I'm so confused...

Only three doors. It makes my head hurt to think about it.
Its not a north american car either. Wrong side for the 3rd door.

I did not know that they put the rear door on the other side based on the drivers position. Learn something new every day.

It seems the industry, IMHO, counterintuitively, considers the rear hatch a door, provided that hatch opens into the passenger compartment. So, CRX - 3 door. Infiniti G35 is two door, while 350Z is three door. Prius, Model S, Volt are five door. Therefore, the Veloster is a four door.
do i get bonus points for hotlinking from grm readers rides?

that's an impala
I actually got to have a conversation with the lead stunt man for that movie. All the Impala's they had were big blocks and he said he destroyed three of them trying to get the draw bridge jump shot done. They were too nose heavy, he said they had to find a small block car and load the trunk with ballast to finally get it done. Ah, the days before CGI ruined car scenes.
In reply to Mike:
I know this is true, but it rubs me the wrong way. A hatch is not a door, it doesn't open to anything to sit on
