Here is another vote for the Infiniti G lineup. I have wanted a 1st gen G coupe for a looong time.
I know youre wanting a tourer versus a sports-coupe however. A search for Regal GS found examples at $19k. Yes, a little over the pricepoint, but a 6speed specimen is pretty much at the top of my list of (practical) wants, and some reasonable negotiating could likely get you down near $15k.

They never came with a manual in NA, but they are easy to convert using 540i parts. It tends to cost around $1500-2000 to do completely, and it really doesn't make the car much better to drive (the steptronic trans in the Sports suits the cars character much better IMHO), but it's a fully scienced out swap that has been done many times before.
