Is saving 30 bucks worth it when it comes to brakes?  I think for peace of mind I'd get the name brand stuff.

I appreciate this sentiment, and do try to spend good-money on the right parts.  But I've got a long-running not-cheap project, and if an inexpensive tube is just as good as the high-dollar stuff I'm definitely going to weigh the options.

And it looks like the mid-price stuff is worth the extra without giving up anything on the high-dollar brands.

I ended up ordering directly from AGS.  All in on 25' of tube and the fittings I needed was around $55.  Similar from Summit was adding up to about $80.  All my local stores don't stock the tube or the fittings.

So the online order was the right answer for me.

Sucks about your local FLAPS. I have 2 within a few miles of me that stock it all.

I called Napa and advanced.  They had nothing.  Maybe someone a little farther away would have had it at, but at some point I just have to make a decision.
