I could do without the huge sub boxes taking up the whole back seat area. Could make a good 7-8 passenger heavy hauler.

I doubt it would fit more than 6.. that transmission tunnel takes up the whole centre of the cab

Looking at this truck, I can understand how using one as "compensation" could be very satisfying just look at the big meaty heftyness of it

In reply to GameboyRMH: He probably has a dope runner boat to go with it. They're pretty hefty too.

I don't get the console? Based on the drive-shaft angle the gearbox is like 5' below that thing and it eats up half the space inside?

It's better than both because it's not a POS Ford

They're trying to re-create that ample interior space feeling you get when you sit in an H1 hummer.

Weak sauce, the Ford parts are great, the New Holland engine from Sampson however, failed mightily

Umm, New Holland was owned by Ford.

My many years of experience trying to keep multiple medium duty Ford trucks on the road and spending cubic yards of money in the process say different.

For a couple of years and this only happened to have access to some parts New Holland produced, Ford had zero to do with the engine that is in these trucks beyond an agreement to use them.

Oh and they have a solid reputation for reliability if not for power

I would be embarrassed to be seen in that thing. I wouldn't even park near it in case somebody saw me walking vaguely towards it and assumed it was mine.

Hmm...

So Ford CHOSE to use the New Holland engine, CHOSE to buy New Holland, CHOSE to not make any significant changes to New Holland, but when the Ford truck dies it's New Holland's fault?

Methinks the gentleman doth protest too much!

actually, as stated in the thread, it died because we made an error, New Holland makes a very reliable engine

Remove the center console, add captains chairs, a fridge and chrome and I'll take it.
