Marriages are underrated, right? I mean, it would probably cost me my marriage....

I think that's worth the price of admission. Even clean ones need $4000 in body work somehow.

I'd think that there'd be a good part out there anyway. I used to know of one that had been abandoned in a field, not much better than this POS. My pal and I kept joking that it would look good with a roots blower coming out of the hood to piss off the BMW purists. Finally we asked the owner who turned out to be a classic "I know what I've got" sort. He wanted $5k for it. Nevermind that it had been sitting in the field for 10 years and he couldn't be bothered to give it any care.

Cannot tell you how glad/sad I am that's across the country. One of the few cars my wife absolutely loves..

That steering set up is a factory mess.

If it's rust free I would buy it and ship it here to the east coast.

I wonder what it would take to turn something like this into a dd for around town only? Would I have to completely restomod it, or could it be done more simply? I used to drive a 1949 dump truck, and once you got used to double clutching and braking early it wasn't that hard.
Kinda the opposite of the last one I posted. How about a 14,000 RPM Spitfire? Spoke with the builder and he seems legit. Doesn't appear to be a hack job.

Edit: It would look better if he cut the coils on his front springs to offset the lighter powertrain.

It's hard to tell because I also want the car and am probably crazy.
But seriously.....go buy that car and post about it

Hmmm. My birthday is a week from Monday. Fly over Friday, drive back... There are no windows in the doors. I wonder if the heater and defroster work?
Sadly, I'm joking. Won't be ready for another vehicle till sometime this spring.
