Has anyone ever found a wartburg on CL Well Seattle has a DKW on there right now!
It's hard enough just to find a Wartburg on a Google search ;)
I found one on an ebay search after I got mine, but it was a later model (square box) and is in the readers rides here. If I have had the money I'd have bought it just so I could have 2 wartburgs thus making me the most prolific wartburg collector in the US.
I know of one other 311 (same body as mine) for sale but the owner wont name a price and didnt wish to continue conversations with me when I told him my frame of reference was that my Wartburg was free and in better condition than his so I didn't really know what a fair offer above "free" would be.
Friend of mine in San Antonio found a Wartburg not too far away from his house. I'll have to admit that I was a bit jealous. The starter makes a horrendous noise, but the motor purrs.
