I just read on their facebook page that Central Florida Racing Complex is closing. No more $35 drifting, autocross, or mini road course. I am sad.

Noise complaints, right? They (the general they) need to try to get with WDW and build something within the Reedy Creek Improvement District. Hell, there's already a track right outside of MK that doesn't really get used.

I only went there twice....the "roads" were too close to the walls. That 180 exit by the trailer that they have (...or used to have, back in the day) was a little hairy, too.....I saw somebody tear up their car pretty good on that tire wall.

It could be noise complaints, but it was in an industrial area. I think I once heard that the surrounding businesses were not happy with the amount - and type - of traffic that was being attracted by CFRC.
[Edit: that was a few years back, though.....I have no idea about current complaints or the lack thereof]
