I've been thinking about how a Renegade would look lowered on widened steelies or nascar style wheels offset to fill up flush with the wheelwells. I'm not sure who or what to blame for these thoughts.

It's not quite the same thing but I remember seeing a guy on instagram that slammed his renegade and is now in process of hemi swapping it..

A big higher up with some more tire and I don't actually think it'd look bad.
Oh definitely. In my mind I equate more tire to less wheel diameter, but that's not always conveyed.

Great. I was going to say no. Just don't do it.
But that looks good.
I am lifting mine a little and getting more tire but that red white and blue one looks really good.
One of the Facebook groups I'm on has someone swapping in a turbo honda K motor, and someone else making up a longer travel suspension with upper control arms. If the two of them could work together it would be pretty fun.
This thread reminds me of my previous desire for something like this. But with some 17x10s or even 15s, not 19+ like most of the pics I see
I had an image or two to add but I can't figure out how to do it from my phone. The interface is pretty awful :(
I saw this one at one of the dealerships I work with the other day and thought how neat it was. Then I was reminded of what a horrible track record they have for reliability and quickly wiped it from my mind.
Still kind of cool though.
In reply to Loweguy5 :
For as bad as a Jeep shaped Fiat could be I've got no complaints. So far it's just been scheduled maintenance, front brakes, and front sway bar links
There is a Filipino hot rodding style based on surplus WW2 jeeps called owner-type. They are generally flat fender bodies, slammed to the ground, with independent front suspension and some sort of Japanese 4 cylinder. I am all in for an owner-type Jeep renegade.

I want to see this with the roof cut off from the b pillar back to make for a modern Comanche..

We've had one since the beginning of 2016 that we bought new. We're about to hit 60k miles (mostly non-highway) and it's been just scheduled maintenance so far.

So like this? I approve.
