You do not want to use Subaru running gear for anything AWD, unless you like having low power or are a transmission changing enthusiast. Low power meaning anything below 200hp or so.

The way to do it would be to use a drivetrain from a longitudinal AWD, and reverse rotation differentials (flipped std. diff, or Audi rear diff). That way the engine is in the right place, you're sitting on the transmission like a real RS200, and you won't be nicknaming the car Sir Breaks-A-Lot.

But really, at that point, there's no point in even starting with an MRS because you will be throwing away everything but the VIN. And half the bodywork would need to be redone, too... and you've gone from "reskin style kit car" to "fabricating a car from scratch".

except that the chart starts at 5000rpm.... impressively smooth once there but I doubt it'll feel like much of a curve when you are trying to get into boost.

It's geared to stay above that rpm under any spirited driving. But like I said, I'd still spec a smaller turbo. I think the garrett gtx2863rs is perfect for a 2zzge, we're still talking about 420whp out of 1.8l on pumpgas and more power than a stock 2zz basically everywhere

That would matter more if you didnt still have an additional 3500 rpm of powerband. Like Carbon said, once you are in it you will stay in it until you either let off, E36 M3 your pants, or die in a fireball, or possibly all three in that order.

Having normal 2zz power below 5k rpm just means you can hook most of first gear. That's not that bad of a thing.

In progress I hope the "forehead" will stay. You can see in my third picture (and all the finished shot) they paint it to blend it with the windshield which works pretty good.

The picture I used with the open door is the one shown on the main site with the other finished shots. I don't know if they can change it much. They addon a steel header on the MRs frameless door. I'm betting it's still using the MR window seal but they need more structure for the applied outer. I'm not sure what is going on with the handle/latch area...

Based on a WRX
Ok this just got real weird real quick. And stupid. A lot of stupid.

Haha looks like I confused people. There is a guy building an selling WRX based RS200s. The neat thing about using an Impreza is you don't need the space in the back for an engine so his RSs have a backseat! (or a decent amount of storage behind the seats so you can tell yourself that an RS200 will make a perfet DD when you order one)

Now that looks good at first glance seems like better fit and finish than the other kit

I wish his Facebook was still up they had the build pictures. I don't think he sells them as kits though.
