Anyone have advice on how the best way to go about setting compression and rebound. I've been playing around for a while to see if I can hit the setup that's the best compromise between ride and handling on my is300. It's got the kw variant 3 coilovers with remote reservoirs and tender springs. My usage is fast road mostly and some occasional autox, track stuff. It's got all poly bushings except the rear Arms and rods are heim jointed. I was thinking that setting up a gopro to watch wheel movement might be advantageous but so far I've just been going by the seat of my pants. What sayeth the hive mind?

It is complicated. Other than seat of the pants, you have some math and measuring work ahead of you.

"Suspension frequency" is a big part of what you are working on establishing.

If you could have a set of stock or aftermarket non-adjustable performance units run on a shock dyno, you could have them run yours and adjust until it's close so you have a starting point.

If you tell the shop the spring and wheel rates you're running among other variables they could probably get them adjusted fairly close to that so you would simply need to fine tune it for your driving style and road conditions.

You could try this shop:

And see what they have to say and how much it might cost you. I know several local racers that have used them with great success.

You'll need to log in to post.
