Not sure if we have a thread like this or not, I didn't see one in my searching. A couple buddies and I have talked about doing a little tour around VA, hitting up cool junkyards along the way. I know we often keep the names/locations/etc of the best junkyards to ourselves, but I thought that a little database of good ones in your area might be nice to have.

Leon's in Culpeper, VA is one that I have heard is huge and awesome and full of tons of cool old stuff, and we plan on visiting it on our trip.

Share yours here if you feel so inclined, no matter where you are in this great country!

French Lake Auto Parts in Annandale, MN.. 100 acres of stuff from as far back as there have been cars.

and this might be a positive or a negative, but they are buddies with the Gas Monkey Garage guys- that Boss 429 Mustang that was on the show a couple of years ago came from there. they are also buddies with pretty much every professional wrestler that has ever existed, so you might go out there on a Saturday afternoon and see The Iron Sheik sitting next to the hotdog stand in the parking lot signing autographs and talking to people..

If trying to find the above it is actually spelled Houghs in Bryant Indiana. It is an awesome yard to wander even though they crushed a lot of really good stuff when metal was up. Last summer he brought in a collection of beetles and vans that he bought from an estate, twenty maybe twenty five vehicles. Cool.
