We didn't use the paddles either, put it in sport+ automatic and left it there. We did ride-a-longs for the dealer's customers so it was setup more for them than us. The PDK did a good job of keeping it in the right gear. They are more than my bank account could sustain, even with employee/family discount I could get through my daughter. It's the maintenance and upkeep that would break me.

I expect that's certainly true. Last I knew VW's DSG was a ~$500 every 30,000 miles or so. I'd think Porsche's PDK would be 3 or 4 times greater, and possibly more frequently given the power levels involved.

My car has a cpo warranty. 6 years or 100000 mi. Granted regular maintenance is not cheap but I was 71 when I got this, my first Porsche. My wife said if you don't do it now, then when.

Congratulations, that's awesome! As I mentioned on the first page, you gotta have goals.

The website is a $900 option in black plastic, $1200 in red plastic, $1500 in body color, $1800 in piano black, $2500 in carbon fiber, $2000 in standard leather colors, or $3500 in custom leather colors.
You must order the sport Chrono, nav, and lane keeping assistant to get the website.
Heck, Margie and I were at Porsche NA on Friday. We could have delivered your message personally.

Become a fireman and move to CT. I can't say I haven't thought about it after reading some of Woody's posts.

There's a little more to it than that. You need to live your whole life the GRM way for many, many years. When I was in college, I made $46 a week. I could still live on that if I had to. I don't really pay anybody for anything.
