My F2T MX-3's powersteering lines are a hot mess... How can I fix them with custom hoses? Currently running MX-6 GT (2 wheel steering). I'll post pics later, but the Mazda fittings are an odd find i guess. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

i did mine with AN adapter fittings and braided stainless teflon power steering hose with DIY ends.

pain in the butt to work with but i had a goofy situation.

Most any hydraulic shop can make them. Prices can vary wildly so it can pay to shop around.

I plumbed an MR2 electric pump to a Honda PS rack using adapters and a fabricated hose from a hydraulic shop. IIRC, the damage was ~$80 for everything.

The hydraulic hose shops are good. Shop them - it is standard practice to jam guys on pricing that walk in with leaky hoses and say "duplicate this".

You can read the "lay line " of a hose to read the pressure ratings and size and SAE number.

Any good shop will have compression fittings, so measure the OD of the tube on each end, make sure you have an inch or so of straight tube, measure the length of the piece you are going to cut outand head to the hydraulic shop.

The return lines don't need crimped fittings, but most of the time the trans cooler/return hose jobber stores sell you sucks. Ask at the hydraulic shop about that as well.

Same here. Summit Racing AN-6 teflon/braided steel lines, AN-to-banjo at the rack, Subaru hydraulic/electric pump uses a GM type PS fitting so... adapter from that to AN at the pump. Made all the lines up myself. It was till expensive... but it's damn slick and easy to take apart/reassemble in minutes.

I just cut off the original fittings and welded new DIY JIC hose ends on and made my own.
