I have read as much as I can on these cars, but I have yet to see an actual price or date of availability. Has anyone dealt with one of these "flavors of the month" with the dealers? How much for the ADM on these?
Does anyone have any insight on this? This will be the first opportunity to purchase a car of this magnitude for me....new to it. I have also entertained a Hellcat, but prefer one of these; like Jon Haas told me, "If you are gonna be a bear, you gotta be a Grizzly".
Thoughts?
Call your insurance guy - get a price on a Hellcat and a new Corvette.
Then wait for the Demon. Is the HC just as fun? Is it worth the price tag? Don't make us go all Dave Ramsey on ya.
I tell ya those flat crank Mustang thingies sound awesome.
You can get a decent hellcat right now brand new for 58K. I was just shopping them. 97K is the price I have heard on the Demon + ADM which may be another 20-30K in the beginning. You could build a 1500+hp daily Hellcat for 97K.
Could I get one with my contacts? Yes, but Dodge is going to vest the buyers pretty heavily and there are a lot of hard-core Mopar collectors who are in line for a demon right now. There are a lot of other interesting things out there for the price of a Demon.
but there is always bonus points for the people who have them "first"
Can i wait 50 years and buy one for $1.3 Million?

Highly doubt that. They are selling 3500 of them. That is 500 less Demons then Gen IV and V vipers combined in all configurations.
What about a Hellcat and this?
Also, if I was in this market, I'd be looking closely at V3 CTS-Vs.
Apparently Dodge is saying 85k base price. The passenger seat, back seat, and trunk carpet are allegedly all $1 options.
Also available is a box of race car stuff.

I'm pretty sure the box is cooler than the car.

Does this mean Dodge is going to "interview" buyers to buy their cars like Lexus (F)? You are absolutely right about the 58K HC; I have seen them on ebay for that with a "Make Offer" under the BIN. I would love a HC, but I was just curious if these Demons would be available to those of use that actually twist our own wrenches.

I like Larry's 300, for sure, man! But, I really like the factory muscle. I don't want to daily one, I just want to have it. I would certainly use it for its intended purpose, but not much more. ;)
Send me some pics of the chassis. If you are still being hounded, we may be able to put it over at my shop in Covington....I have some room inside there.
In reply to fastasleep: $$$$ talks, B$hit walks... but y'all know that Rick Hendrick already has the first one......
Did you move? The City eased off some. we are going to move though, hopefully AFTER the 2017 Challenge, Maybe To Talking Rock area, But I would like to sell the chassis to pay for the Fiero,Can't work on it with it in Jacksonville.

I gotta be honest, I am not that savvy with which dealers get what or how dealerships work. I am not doubting this is true, but do you think they already have buyers lined up?
