i just got a 1957 Bel-Air hardtop out of a barn.. car is complete but no title got it with a bill of sale. would like to sale this car to someone in Vermont and then buy it back. i am willing to give them $500.00 plus all fees to get me the paperwork back so i can get a title issued in Pa. i know this is a grey area but i think its totally legal
contact mark@ctsinc.org if interested
Just FYI, be real careful. PA would not consider it legal.

the car was never titled in Pa. the last place i can find anything about the car was a 1967 registration from Nevada from then on it was off the road and i have a chain of bill of sales from the past 3 owners.....i could apply for a Pa title but it is a long process. just trying to speed up the process. if i walk into a notary in Pa with the vermont paperwork they can issue a title with no problem

FYI, Connecticut doesn't issue titles for cars older than, I think 83. Not sure if that info helps or not.
In Georgia, Bill of Sale is all you need. They usually don't issue titles for older vehicles unless you ask (and pay the additional $).
Have you ever tried one of these outfits? I've seen quotes from $200 to $895. Just curious if they are worth it.

nice if you live in GA, sucks when you buy a car from there and live in IL (IL dmv requires a previous title or go through a bonding process)

i have used them before but most of the time its around $700.00+ to have done. i would rather put the money into a forum member pocket than theirs
i really dont care what state this is done with i just want to end up with a title for the car
