That is my vision for the Cruze shaped Piñata that is currently in my way.
I believe that we need to develop a new term for stripped down E36 M3. Maybe BoxCart

Maybe the automotive definition of de-contenting is remove all weight possible and add wide tires/wheels.
So the idea has come about from this vehicle. It was being driven by one of our sons with PLPD insurance on it. It was vandalized by his ex. Insurance "Mini Tort"ed the claim, essentially stating "It's a total but we are not taking possession of that heap" and paid out $500. It's scrap. There isn't a straight panel anywhere on it. It has been rained and snowed in. It's full of crap.
Every panel that isn't welded will be removed. The remnants of rear window removed. The windshield will be replaced. Dash, interior panels, headliner, unnecessary wiring will all leave. A basic LED trailer signal set with amber front repeaters and a set of low dollar projectors will be used for illumination and safety. Four simple tubular gates will attach to the factory hinges and latches to aid in ejection rejection. Ultimately two 18" alloy seats will be fitted up front and two alloy bomber seats will go in back and the car will be basically a farm bomber.
Am I going to regret this? Possibly
