I was given some sweet MK2 Supra seats out of a friends parts car that were in ok shape for being 32 years old. I plan on swapping them into my 4WD Tercel.
I am prepping the car to run the Gambler 500 idaho. I will be driving 350 miles there, running 500 off road. and hopefully driving another 350 home. so a comfy seat was in order.
These are some of the most comfortable factory seats i have sat my skinny butt in.
They have a a crazy amount of adjustments. A manual air pump a bladder that inflates behind you back, and buttons on the side to release air to adjust seat to your back. All those functions work. And they were blue which matches the car they are going in so win.
I am poor and figured id go to the dollar store and see if i could find some stuff to fix the torn bolster (which is also adjustable with the knob on the side).
After walking the isles, i found the automotive section. where picked up a car wash sponge, and a mini hacksaw. I found a sewing kit and paid my $3.25.
Got home, and realized i didn't know how to sew. but figured what the hell anything will be better than having that metal poking my elbow for 1200 miles.
Got situated, with some scissors and got to cutting and forming the sponge with the mini hacksaw

Might I suggest using a different source for the foam, something a little denser?
The bottom cushion of a backseat from a coupe wil get you a huge amount of pretty minty foam for peanuts at a junkyard. Or somebody making a racecar, back seats are worthless.
And Finally all stitched up. Not going to win any awards, but for $3 and an hours work. i am happy.
Will be way more comfy for that 1200 mile trip.

I had to make this exact repair in the exact same area of my mk2 seats. They look great when redone in leather.

Those seats look great! bet that cost you a lot more than $3.
I needed padding in my race seats, due to having back surgery. I bought a mattress topper from Dollar General (it was around $8 if I recall each? and put it inside. Works great.
I like how you used he sponge, etc. Great idea.
