I bought a tow hook front plate mount for the 2004 Scion xB, and would love to swap it over to the new Crosstrek. But I have a feeling these things aren't universal? Google turns up a lot of threads of people asking the same damn thing.
Is there a handy place to see if the threads on an old Scion are the same as a new Subaru? (I paid $50-60 for this thing. The plate mount, not the car.)

Could that handy place be right out in your driveway?

check ebay for those "sweet racecar nylon strap tow hooks". See if you can find one that lists specific applications that it 'fits' on?

Less handy in 10F and wind than a chart on the internets.

Bring the Subaru tool kit in the house along with the plate mount and compare in the warmth of your kitchen.
