I built 3 Mikuni TMX carbs over the weekend. Not a single one has any Philips screws left it it. If you have to use a machine screw, use a Robertson head. I replaced them all with plated socket caps.
Anyway, it's 2014. Who doesn't have a torx set in each one of their boxes? I had to disassemble a throttle body yesterday, but couldn't find mine. So I used one of my backup torx sets.
