So, my replacement for the Z06 is a 1998 BMW M3 convertible. It's in pretty good shape and reminds me of my RX8 in a lot of ways. I've never owned a bimmer or a convertible, so the fun is about to begin.

Does anybody know if those wheels came on any other BMWs or just the M3?? For OEM those are really sharp.

Those are M contours, exclusive to the M3, but as normal.......they're on pretty much every 3 series out there at this point

The convertibles seem to be cheaper than similar condition coupes and sedans. I've also never owned a convertible, so I figured "why not?"

I'll do the normal E36 stuff maintenance-wise, then I'll just enjoy it. I'm wondering how long before German electrical gremlins attack the windows and top?
I read the title and thought E36 M3 something bad happened. Then I was like holy E36 M3, it's an actual E36 M3. Now I'm like that E36 M3 is cool, I really like the color.
E36 M3

Just remember to take the door panels off (carefully) and scrape out all the old, dead, and now sticky grease from the slider and replace with fresh slippery grease. That should keep the window mechanism working perfectly for years to come
