So, i need to measure pointsabout 12 feet apart. My test leads have a maximum spread of about 3 feet.
I need to do this with .01 volt accuracy (chasing emi and ground issues) or better. As low ohm difference as possible. Same with milliamps.
How do i do this? This is going to be the mpst accurate multimeter testing i have ever done.....

Based on those parameters, I'd say buy extended leads for your meter. Not sure how much resistance they introduce to your testing. I'm sure others will chime in. Good luck!

I use alligator leads in my shop (thought i usually don’t need that much accuracy). You could try that and measure the resistance before starting. If you have them it’s a free 60 second experiment.

The input impedance of a digital voltmeter is high enough that there shouldn't be too much issue with extending the leads with whatever wire you have available for voltage measurements. Smaller gauge (larger diameter) wire is better, but it really shouldn't matter too much.
For your current measurement, it will be a little more problematic. Why do you need to measure the current exactly?

Yep. I've used .032 safety wire in a pinch around the leads.
So essentially im overthinking it.
Got it!
Thanks yall.
I usually use romex and vise grips for this exercise
