Just ran across this -- apparently Mazda is expanding the factory restoration program that they do on NAs to cover FDs as well. It's Japan-only, but hopefully this means they will restart production on a bunch of the parts that are currently Not Available.

Full of trim clips and other little things that can side track a project, like parking brake levers on the calipers.
From what I understand it's interior parts that are most in demand since FDs used really thin plastics.
Good to know. I'll pass this along to one of my cycling friends who has owned an FD for years. I haven't seen it, but he said it's pretty close to original.
If you pulled some strings could one from The US be restored? I have my LE that would be worth sending over to be done. If only had a million doll hairs...... :0D
