I don't have idea before what need to do with the front, now I just close the holes. Really very hard to find nice idea, but it's OK now. Btw, thank you for giving me idea on side area, very nice.

One one problem. That's just too awesome, and now there is no point in me entering. I just ask that you give me a ride in your 818. Maybe I can shoot for 2nd. That looks both fast and cool. I'd would like to point out something cool. The Ford Cobra has 2 small intakes, one on each side of the man radiator intake on the front. These are ducted to the wheel well and blows air onto the disk brake to cool it. You have similar ports that could be used for the same thing. I was going to suggest that this air just be ducted from the main air intake, but what you have works nicely. In my opinion, this design looks so much better than any of the past weekly winners, and it definately seems to best match the parameters and design intent given by Factory 5.

One thing to think about: How do you imagine the back opening up to the engine? Since this is to be a racing machine, it should open wide for lots of access.

Arif, can you put the regular windshield back on with this last design? I really like the new front end. In fact I love the whole design.

thats hot...it does look like a lancia, or an ae86...and ya know what? those were awesome cars. A lot of these submissions are cool looking, but many are getting to be ZOMFGPORSCHERIPOFFS. I prefer simple, clean, and unassuming. I would take NXXNs car over a large portion of the submissions Ive seen thus far.

Arif,
I hope you aren't offended, but I just like to give my straight opinion. I like a lot of things about it, but I really don't like the front end. It looks like a fish mouth or something. I think some tweaks could make it pretty cool, but right now I'm not digging the front.
Just my opinion, but I've always thought the best looking sports cars steer away from giving an immediate impression of looking like any kind of face, or if it's going to look like a face at least look like an aggressive mean face.

You welcome. I already have an awesome design idea for your front. I need to see more of your design explorations for the front. Once you hit the wall with your explorations than I will show you what I got for you. I like to see your thinking process.

@ BibDPo: Thx for your support, I will think about back opening later perhaps. I can't wait to touch back the new Cobra again.
@ VTX: It's OK, just share your thought. I like angry-face style anyway.
@ Cr8tr: I have already submitted this design. I have been less sleep recently working on this. I want to focus on new Cobra by now. After this I had like to make one more design, I want to be very Extreme, and then go back to design above. I hope we will have something to show later.
@ D2W: I prefer the shield as it is now, but you can stil see regular windshield.

Good luck, bro. I predict that you will do very well. I will be shocked if this is not at least the next weekly winner. I look forward to seeing your next submission.

Arif, thank you. Why not incorporate both windshields? Removeable full windshield for street driving, short wind screen for track days. I'm loving this design.
Looks great, any possibility of a rear diffuser?. Something about the roll hoop area also doesn't seem to flow with the rest of the body. I also think that there needs to be more of a flare where the rear wheel well arches. Just simply my initial thoughts, good job.

I like this design a lot. It reminds me of what the Fiero would have looked like if it were build by modern designers. :)
It could use smaller scoops/opennings in the front to accentuate it being mid-engine. I also like how the design disguises the "mid-engined-ness" a bit, in a way like Ferraris are less "cab-forward" than let's say Lamborghinis.
That said, I think it could benefit from a slightly shorter hood.
Here's a Fiero for comparison:
Stock:
Custom:
(custom things include: custom front bumper, hood scoop, side scoop and molding, low profile headlights)
Here's another one:
(this custom Fiero has a shorter hood nose. Notice how much it pulls the design rearward visually.)
Obviously, the hood on the 818 can be much lower since it's scratchbuild, and may not even house a radiator.
I also posted pictures of Fieros to show that cars with a short wheelbase (Fiero is 93.4 in.) (Ferrari 308 GTS is 92.1 in.) don't have to look "squished" and can still have nice proportions.
Also note, that a Fiero has a decent sized trunk in the back, as well as a trunk/storage space in the front. So I see no reason why the 818 should skimp on storage space.
Last Fiero example:
The Fiero has a height of 46.9 in, so I see no reason why the 818 needs to be so ridiculously tall, where the driver looks as if he's sitting on a camel inside the car. The Fiero seat is bolted to the floor and the driver sits just a few inches of the floor.
Note now low the seat is. I'm hoping the low CG (center of gravity) of the boxer motor will be retained by mounting the seats as low as possible in the car.
