I took my Focus to the All-Ford Nationals at Carlisle, PA this weekend. After the show on Saturday all the Focus people got together for a picnic, etc. at the hotel where most of them were staying.
One of the people from Ford brought a Fiesta ST for us to look at. Here a few of the pictures I took of it. The last picture is comparing it to a 2012 Fiesta.
Daddy likey! What are the specs on it?
Wish we got the 3-door, but apparently the 4 door shares a wheelbase with it, so its not like its any smaller. Just more overhang.
Could be my next car.
Beer- the specs have been listed at Ford.com for a while- lots of them there. The key one is 197hp.
Does it have the ridiculously tall center console that makes trying to shift awkward and ridiculous like the Focus ST?
Yep, I'm pretty sure that next year I am buying one. Great power, great mpg, lots of room, winning all around (and a great price, starting at $25k in Canada!)

I'm interested too and also looking at a Canadian model. Still like the MINI's but can't compete on this price point. Another Ford in the driveway, what the hell is happening here.
Anybody know when they are actually coming out so I can test drive one?
I am debating if this would be a good car to replace the miata+the Jetta TDI

I didn't really get good pictures of the interior, but I didn't see any problems with the driving position. I've driven my friends Focus ST and don't have any problem with it either.
It's getting rave reviews for the way it drives and handles. Nice to see something so Euro here for once! Now when will they make a grown-up edition without the silly paint and garish seats? Not everyone who wants a hot-hatch is a 20-something.

There was a dark blue Fiesta ST at Carlisle with the Recaros and a darker interior. That would be my choice over the nuclear green as well.
I wish I could bring myself to buy a new car cause that would be at the top. Also I love the color.

I honestly think the Fiesta ST is a much more interesting offering than the Focus ST. I still think the Focus ST is a very good thing, but i cant get into it for some reason probably related to it just being slightly bigger than i'd want.

That's a spicy meatball! I want one.
Does anyone know what kind of differential it has? Limited slip? Torsen?
It's one of those faux electronic LSD's where the brakes act as a limited-slip.
My sentiments exactly, but I suppose for 98% of the folks who buy the car, it's more than enough.
I'm sure it'll be remedied in the aftermarket soon.
What's with the passengers side head restraint?

Sitdown gramps, go buy a buick or something
I don't think the red or blue are particularly loud colors in all honesty, and if it bothers you that much, vinyl wraps are about $2k now.

There is also blend with all other cars silver, and "not originalty" black available, too. Oh, and "nothing" white.
Sadly, no beige.

It looks like the headrest is on backwards, but it also looks like it has two different kinds of seats.
My guess is that they were showing the difference between the regular seat and optional Recaro seat.
Or maybe if they drove it down from Michigan, the passenger was a bit too plump for the Recaro bucket?
