I would do it in one go, but I don't get to the dealership until somewhere around noon (on Friday), and I don't think driving through the night is a good idea. I've done Chico to Seattle before in one go when I moved up here from Phoenix.

I'm not stressing about the drive, it's more of a 'I'm an excited puppy about doing this, am I missing anything' aspect. 

I sold my currently daily last night, and realized I don't currently have registered transportation. I guess I should actually get the e30 project on the road just in case.

And thanks dps214 on the correction for the models, I'm still learning Porsche nomenclature!

Make sure you have the shop verify the back up lights are working.  If the aren't, it's an issue in the transmission.  Porsche's solution is to sell you a reman transmission at $20K.  Of course, that trans has the same issue.  Also check the door panels for delamination at the top.  Porsche's solution is to sell you the same door panels, with the same defect for $2500 each.  At least for the door panels, there is a guy that will repair them for $300 each, IIRC.

I had a 991S with PDK and it was a great driving car.  The stupidly expensive potential repairs caused me to sell it (for a $10k profit) in this crazy market.  Hopefully you didn't have to pay current market price for that car.

Is the backup light issue with PDKs or Manuals, or both (this one is a manual)?  The PPI was done yesterday, he found one rock chip, and one ding, and everything else was perfect. It's had one new set of tires (2019 manufacturers date), but otherwise looks perfect to drive from his opinion.
