What would you choose and why?

I can do the extra clutch pack in the Trak Lock or just get an auburn. The car is for track day and autocross use.

For those two options, I would just keep the trak lock and pack in clutches. If you start to loose the "stiction" then open her up and add some more in.

I have put a true-trac into mine. If that one breaks, well, its broke. The lack of clutches pushed me that direction.

Why the true trac and what hp can it handle?

How serious are you as far as competing? IF it's just for fun the why spend the money to gain that small percentage of speed that you will with an aftermarket diff? For an open track car the stock Ford diff worked fine for me. I never did autoX my race Mustang but I did an earlier one and that one being stock I did have traction issues. But they don't give out prize money for first in autoX do they?

Reading on the S10 forums, guys are pushing 500+ through their stock 8.8s.

I'm putting 460 lb-ft to the wheels through a Truetrac. I'm sure it can handle more. Can't speak for Thinker, but I chose it because it's essentially zero maintenance.
