'67 LeMans = there's a car I wish I could have kept.

A beautiful car, but sullied by the Powerglide transmission.

I thought my 964 would be a forever car, but I couldn't enjoy it with the whole family once #3 arrived. Then values did what they did and I took the money and ran. Priorities change. Now considering perhaps a Landcruiser 200 as a forever car(!).

I told them all, not for sale, at any price. Some would get haughty "everything has a price" I told them OK, $30 K. That's about what it would cost for me to replace it!  "Your nuts! It's not worth anything close to that"

I love talking about cars but this my least favorite interaction with some car guys.

Undoubtedly someone will get my car eventually but it's not gonna be That Guy.

Well said!
my COE was in a friend spare driveway, and That Guy stopped. Told her he was going to buy that truck. She told him I'd never sell, and he made her take his card, saying oh, yea. He'll sell it to me. I called him, cause I was in a bind at time... he offered me a few grand. Uh, no. "But I can't sell it for more than that"   Uh, no. The he asked "what is that, again?" So, you don't even know what it is, but you know it's not worth anything???

Its called out in my will that Rick gets it.  I don't even want That Guy getting it after I die!!!

Not a great pic, but the first one on my phone.  This is my forever car. Purchase 21 years ago, drove away from my wedding in it, taken both my kids to their first days of school, and already promised to my oldest.

Not the one people expect...

Realistically, this one's on the list because of family connections.

My 911 Turbo.  Always wanted one, finally got it.  There's nothing out there I'd care to replace it with that I could afford and even then I'm not sure I'd

swap it for, say a 997 GT3RS as I like the fact it has back seats and I can carry my son with me in it.

Yeah I'd have that as a forever car as well. G50 is a favorite.

She's a 1976. But has a 89 3.2 which was rebuilt about 2 years ago.

I'm also the same as Docwyte in that I could never afford another one. I bought it when nobody wanted impact bumper 911s.

Yeah, I don't think I could really afford mine now.  I passed on two other 911's in the past 5 years, a 964C2 and a 993C4S and I regretted it, I could've afforded both at the time and now they're low/mid 6 figure cars that I don't have a chance of ever buying...
