I was at Denny's Sunday before last and saw this... It says Corvette, but the engine is in the wrong (right?) place. The cockpit is tiny; looks like it belongs on a track, but clearly was designed to be street legal-ish. I googled mid-engined Corvette, but found nothing much interesting. I wish I'd gotten a pic of the V8 under glass. Any Ideas what this beastie is?
It's this it appears.
Corvette GTP replica kit. Looks to be pretty well done from the video. How was it in person?

I immediately thought of the Corvette Daytona prototype.
Looks like the same idea, but the one you posted looks like it's roughly based on a C4 instead of a C6.
I like the plate in the video. "LOL GTP"
That might just be the best thing ever found at Denny's.
I kinda like this, don't know if I would drive it to Denny's tho'

The Moon Over My Hammy is pretty great too.

I like that way more than I probably should. I would drive the hell out of that.

Nice. A link to the exact machine in question. It person.... It was incredibly low, wide and very serious looking. Didn't look particularly comfortable, but I think I could forgive it that. I think my miata is slightly more roomy. Appeared to built to a high standard. One of the prettiest things I've ever seen at Denny's.
I was expecting it to be more expensive. Here's the auction where the car was sold.
First off, is that exhaust even street legal?
Second, that interior looks uncomfortable as hell.
I want it for the hate it would create in those around me.

Third, my Bob Costas hurts.
Agreed, you really care about how comfortable you would be in that, cause if you do, you need to hand over your man card. Now.

Too late, I handed that over a few years ago.
I'm just sayin'. I've driven 1920's Miller Indy Cars that look more comfortable.

That's because when you drove them new you were a lot younger and able to get in and out of them easier.

Doesn't look too bad to me. You just can't be a chubby bastige.
Especially if you are a bit more careful in your work:

Well I am a chubby bastige.
I would have waited for the dude to finish his Grand Slam to ask questions,
