I want to put some OEM wheels on my Genesis Coupe. These are some of the Hyundai/Kia/Genesis 18s I think look good. What do you all think?

These are the stock 18s off of a G70 Genesis.

These are 2020 Genesis G80 18 inchers.

Kia Seltos 18s

2021 G80 18 inchers

2009-2014 Genesis Sedan 18s.

#s 1 & 2 look the best to me & are close enough to barely notice the differences. #3 is a good choice if you want something more bold.

are you specifically looking for 18x9's?  Or are 18x8's ok?

I'd prefer 18X9s. I'm probably going to run the wider "back" wheels on all four corners of my car.

I think I'm most partial to option #2, of those listed.  I might like the seltos wheels without the Kia center cap... but I'd have to see it on the car to really 'know'.  Are there any 9" wheels in the stinger?

Most of the other options I'm familiar with are 18x8s.

I like the Selto's BBS-esque look.

Cool. By the way, here is what the car looks like right now.

I really like the look of these wheels, and they're OEM 18X9 size.

Unfortunately, they're pure Chinesium and I have some serious concerns about their quality and condition. The back side of one wheel is chewed up and two of them keep loosening the lug nuts. I do track days so ... that's not acceptable.

#3 is terrible, #5 is meh, the others look good.
1&2 look like Volvo wheels.

there's a Kia Stinger 19x8.5 rear that has similar feel to that...

I vote #2 on the wheels.

How do you like the Genesis? We are looking at cars for the wife and that one is on the radar. Is it the 3.8 or the 2.0T?

It's a toss up for me between the G70 and Seltos.

It's a nice little car. They are comfy for sports cars and sporty for entry level GTs, which is how you should think of them. They cruise really well. The 2.0 isn't a rocket ship stock but it's peppy and tunes up nicely, especially the BK2 version. The V6 is genuinely a fast car but upgrades are very pricey.

The handling/steering/brakes are very Mustang/Camaro esque, though Gen Coupes have much better visibility than either of those. I recommend holding out for the Brembos if you plan to do anything sporting.

It's got kind of a dumb happy dog personality when you play. They theoretically have all sorts of high tech suspension but the car handles like a Gen 3 Firebird with a rigid chassis. I love the way Gen 3 F bodies handle so YMMV.

I think they look really good. They were criticized for being heavy when new but 3400ish isn't much by 2021 standards - a little lighter for a base 4 cylinder, a little heavier for a loaded v6.

They are also really easy to work on and the parts are cheap. Almost all the mechanical bits are shared with mass market sedan and SUV stuff. Fuel economy is low 20s in my experience. They are surprisingly practical.

Downsides are really just two - the e throttle is tuned for the craziest rev hang I've ever encountered and the transmissions aren't that good. Drive it like a normal car and it's a little clunky and imprecise. Race it and the gearboxes tend to be clunky and fragile. Once again though, probably not a problem in a daily or weekend fun car.

I definitely recommend you go for a test drive. If I still lived in the US I'd probably have saved up a little more and gotten a C5, but I certainly prefer the Genny to the S197 Mustangs and recent Camaros, mostly because I hate cars with poor visibility.

1,2, or 4 look good to me, but you should buy first on specs and second on what YOU think looks good, fashion is one of humanity's stupidest inventions.
