Thanks for the great info, it helps to hear others experience with it. I have been back and forth in my mind about which to get. I have a buddy in Japan that bought a Performance Box a year or so ago, and has been very happy with it also. Now I just have to bite the bullet and order...

I just bought a traqmate HD. It's not the new color model, it's the older LCD screen. I'm having problems with the video hook up, hopefully it's operator error rather than equipment failure. The data looks good, and I get some video, but I'm having a problem getting both of them to talk to each other. Again, it may be operator failure, I'm a guy and instruction manuals are for finding where the leftover parts were supposed to go.

You can find mine (which only shows the parts we bought) at http://home.comcast.net/~alfa73/site/

I'll be updating it as we build it.

Very timely as I am installing an AIM Evo 4 and MyChron 3 dash this weekend. I can't wait to get it in and use it. I researched most of the reasonably priced (under$2k) systems for several years after trying a Race Technologies DL-90 and I have to say matching use with the system is critical. Support and software CANNOT be overstated. Lastly you get what you pay for so look carefully at bargains as they may not be.

Your last update was great, a real DYI for those who want to build their own. Our packaged Analog data recorded will hopefully be complete by the end of the month. We will keep everyone updated on how the testing goes but right now it's looking pretty good. It should work well with all RaceChrono stuff, plus we are talking to a few other Smart Phone apps like Harry's lap timer and Torque for Android.

Updates are here. http://www.mh-motorsports.com/datalogger.shtml

Eric, do you have a link for the accelerometer / gyroscope stuff? I've been running RaceChrono for a couple of years and for the money it's great. The software is good, but not great - i've been exporting the files and using someone's else software (MaxQ IIRC) for comparison laps etc
